Yin Yoga

Melt into Yuminess! Yin is a therapeutic class that is meditative, slow paced, and helps balance an active or yang lifestyle. Yin yoga works on the the connective tissues. Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load, which is why we hold the poses for longer. If you gently stretch connective tissue by holding a yin pose for a long time in this way, the body will respond by making it a little longer and stronger - which is exactly what you want. Experience nourishment and release to mind, body and the nervous system.

Happy Hips & Spine

Happy hips, happy life. This delicious class is designed with opening the hips and back but with a slow movement style of class. Slow and stretchy, targeting tension around the hips, tightness in the hamstrings and bringing more mobility into the spine. Expect to feel deep releases and lots of length and space created in your body.

The physical part of the practice is about bringing balance to the body. Some of us can benefit from more mobility (flexibility) while for others building strength and stability is going to be more useful. Our understanding of this and our knowledge of how to personalise the postures is essential to getting the most out of the practice. This class uses a combination of movement, postures and breath to work on strength, flexibility and balance to give you a good physical work-out, and a sense of calm, to keep you balanced and nurtured. Great for beginners or seasoned yogis.

Pop-Up Restoratve by Candlelight

Unplug your phone, press pause and step into our candlelit studio. Blankets and bolsters will cushion your body into deep relaxation. You will be guided into breath awareness and relaxation methods to induce physical, mental and emotional restoration. Restorative yoga assists in unwinding the mind and letting go of deeply held fatigue and tension. This is a relaxing class to help you calm your busy mind and soothe the body.

There is a focus on basic alignment, actions within the poses, mindfulness and listening to your own body. The class is well-rounded and focuses on the mind-body connection to build strength and flexibility in the body and mind. A great class for beginners to build a solid foundation and for experienced practitioners to refine their practice and knowledge.
